The primary responsibility of the Denominational Affairs group is to provide a liaison between the congregation and both the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and the Midwest Region. It promotes education on the the Unitarian Universalist Association and the social justice statements of it's General Assembly. It also keeps members informed on current topics in the UUA and the Midwest Region. The group also promotes participation in SEWUUC programs and interfaith organizations. And it coordinates participation in the Chalice Lighters program (UUA) and any financial requests made for its funds.
This group does not meet regularly.
The committee also submits a budget request to the Finance Committee in April of each year.
