Mission Statement: The Fundraising Committee's mission is to plan events (for the church membership and the general public) to raise funds for the church's general operating budget. The church Board determines what the yearly goal will be.
The committee determines the type and the dates and times of fundraisers, and recommends which accounts will receive profits to the Board of Trustees. It determines how fundraisers will be advertised, solicits for volunteers, and runs the fundraising activities. Some past fundraisers include the Time & Talent Auction, holiday craft and bake sales, brat frys, Valentine's dinners, and rummage sales.
The Fundraising Committee or the Finance Committee may refer issues of concern to the Board for resolution. No fundraising activities are conducted in the name of LCUUC, or its committees, or RE groups, without the approval of the Fundraising Committee.
The committee meets monthly, and sends monthly updates, including statistics on membership counts and changes. and an annual report to the appropriate Board liaison.
The committee also submits a budget request to the Finance Committee in April of each year.
