Role
The Coordinator of Family Ministry (CFM) works to ensure that family members are provided with opportunities to grow in their relationship to Unitarian Universalism. Primarily an administrative role, the coordinator will work independently on clearly defined tasks, as well as working closely with ministerial and lay leadership.
Oversight
The Coordinator of Family Ministry is supervised by the Minister.

Responsibilities
- Recruit and support volunteers (often with assistance from others)
- Communicate with families and the congregation at large
- Provide educational materials for parents and caregivers to use with their children
- Coordinate with the Family Ministry Team to support youth and family activities
- Reach out to worship visitors, new members, or members not engaged in youth and family ministries
- Administer programs, including nursery care, Spirit Play, worship time, and youth milestones
Minimum Requirements
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills, with the ability to relate to and motivate people of all ages and backgrounds
- Leadership skills, including the ability to recruit and nurture volunteers and delegate tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak comfortably before a congregation or other large groups
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with interest in expanding own knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Agree to a criminal background check
- Be fully vaccinated and boosted against the Covid 19 virus
- Available to work on 2-3 Sundays per month
- Experience with or genuine curiosity about Unitarian Universalism preferred
