Mission Statement: Worship Arts is responsible for filling the pulpit on the minister's off-Sundays and for providing Worship Associates to assist the minister when they are in the pulpit.
The Worship Arts Committee weaves together the different components of a worship service to create a spiritual experience. Worship associates work as a team, assisting each other with ideas for readings or sermon topics. The committee is responsible for making sure worship services are developed and carried out when the minister is unavailable. Please contact the Worship Committee (262) 369-1703 or admin@lcuuc.org to discuss the steps and training necessary to become a worship associate.
The Worship Arts Procedural Covenant includes these steps:
The committee meets monthly. The committee also submits a budget request to the Finance Committee in April of each year.
Volunteer Tasks Include:
You are not required to be familiar with everything on the above list. As long as you are excited to learn something new and have the time to commit, we'd love to have you on the team!

- Attend annual required training
- Attend monthly committee meetings
- Attend Sunday services regularly
- Understand that we are part of a liturgical performance
- Put in the time and effort to do it well

- Attending and participating at the monthly committee meetings.
- Researching current trends in worship programs.
- Researching appropriate readings and music for services.
- Planning Sunday and special services.
- Assisting minister during services.
- Helping plan and read for Story for All Ages.
- Leading or participating in Sunday services.
- Planning for and hosting guest speakers.
- Working with the sound team (microphones)
- Decorating the sanctuary for special services or events..
- Coordinating with other committees to reach committee goals.
- Interacting with LCUUC members to answer questions.
- Chairing the committee.
